5 Top Games to Hear the Auburn Tigers War Eagle Battle Cry in 2022

Written by Heather Park | Aug 29, 2022 1:45:00 PM

Nothing creates a buzz around the city of Auburn quite like football.

Catching a game at the historic Jordan-Hare stadium is a travel experience like no other. You'll know two things as you listen to the distinctive Auburn Tigers War Eagle battle cry from the bleachers.

  1. Football season is back.
  2. The Auburn Tigers are ready to play.

Let's look at five must-see games on the roster and accommodation options to ensure you don't miss any of the action!

1. Auburn Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (Iron Bowl)

Saturday, November 26, 2022, Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa

This year's Iron Bowl will be a must-win for the Auburn Tigers on the back of a loss against the Alabama Crimson Tide by two points (24-22 in a four-overtime game) in last year's game.

This year marks the 87th time these two teams have met in what's widely considered the fiercest rivalry in all college football. Expect to see plenty of cheers (and hopefully Alabama tears) at this year's matchup!

2. Auburn Tigers vs. LSU Tigers

Saturday, October 1, 2022, Jordan-Hare Stadium

Auburn will host the LSU Tigers in this year's Tiger Bowl in a matchup that holds great significance for both teamsAfter clutching a victory from being down 13-0 in 2021, new Auburn football coach Bryan Harsin and former quarterback Bo Nix showed they could deliver when the heat was on.

Expected to be a close match again this year, this is a must-see game and one of the best things to do in Auburn during the football season.

3. Auburn Tigers vs. Arkansas Razorbacks

Saturday, October 29, Jordan-Hare Stadium

The Arkansas Razorbacks will head to Auburn to take on the mighty Tigers this season. After another impressive performance by former quarterback Bo Nix with 298 yards, it will be interesting to see who steps up to the plate to deliver similar stats after he left to join the Oregon Ducks.

After a comfortable win by Auburn last year (38-23), early predictions give the home team the edge in this matchup.

4. Auburn Tigers vs. Penn State Nittany Lions

Saturday, September 17, Jordan-Hare Stadium

With an impressive fourth quarter bringing home the win (28-20) for Penn State during last year's matchup, this year's game will test the endurance of the Tigers to determine who is the king of the jungle at this home game.

After coach Harsin commented that last year's loss "should burn," let's hope the players remember that lesson for a win this year.

5. Auburn Tigers vs. San Jose Spartans

Saturday, September 10, Jordan-Hare Stadium

With TJ Finlay predicted to take the top spot as QB for the Tigers, they're firm favorites to make it a three-win streak against the Spartans. Will you be there to cheer on our home team?
