The History of Opelika Songwriters Festival

This relatively new festival has already seen massive growth by supporting original musicians doing something special. The festival started as a way to showcase talented songwriters—providing a platform for everyone from up-and-comers to Grammy award-winning musicians.

The entire city opens up during the festival. Local bars, restaurants, and breweries become live music venues showcasing talent from the U.S. and Canada.
